What is an Audiologist?

Audiologists perform many duties such as; conducting hearing evaluations on children and adults. Our audiologists counsel the patient on the results of the hearing evaluation and are able to determine if the patient is a candidate for hearing aids.

They are responsible for determining which style and technology best suits the patient's needs and fitting the appropriate hearing aid(s). All hearing aid follow-up care is performed by the audiologist.

In addition, our audiologists are also responsible for conducting diagnostic testing, such as, the electronystagmography (ENG) test, which is conducted to assist in the diagnosis of a dizzy patient.
